What inspired you to pursue a competitive golf career:
When I was younger, I loved trophies. Growing up, I played lots of recreational sports and always received a trophy, regardless of my performance. This continued until I was eight years old and found out that in golf, you actually had to perform well to earn a trophy! Because of that, I started practicing and eventually fell in love with the sport.
You were chosen to be on ProMazo’s list of Most Interesting Students for a reason. Do you have any advice for other students hoping to create their own success:
Take adversity like a grain of salt and work harder through it. No matter how perfect your life may seem, there will always be challenges. Knowing how to work through them is extremely important.
"Always throw clubs behind you so that you don't have to walk back to pick them up" - Anonymous. I find this quote so funny – even though I would never throw a club, it feels so realistic.
Biggest role models or inspirations:
My biggest role model is my brother. He also plays golf, and I’ve always looked up to him and his skills.
I finally had my first hole in one this past spring!
