Drake Weissman is a Chicago Inno’s 25 under 25 and a class of 2020 graduate from Northwestern. With a B.A. in Economics and a minor in Entrepreneurship, Weissman founded his bikeshare company, eo LLC. Originally from New York, Weissman found his home away from home in a Chicago.
“It started my sophomore year during my Social Entrepreneurship class”, said Weissman when talking about the beginnings of his company. “We were thinking about applying design thinking to problems and bringing business model techniques.” The team focused on bike sharing companies and how to implement a stronger and more effective method to solve the existing problem on campus: it takes colleges students too long to walk across campus. His goal was to reduce the travel time by introducing a bike share system that did not require users to find and use a drop off station-- students would be able to leave the bikes at any bike rack on campus. In total, eo has generated 20k rides and $10k in revenue.
Weissman’s future plans include building a new company. His love and passion for entrepreneurship has allowed him to grow new skills and experiences with eo LLC.
