What inspired you to keep going throughout your recovery:
My friends and family were my biggest inspiration to keep going – they stayed by my side while I was in the hospital and rehab. In addition, I made sure not to let what was going on get to me. Despite everything, I did my best to stay optimistic.
You were chosen to be on ProMazo’s list of Most Interesting Students for a reason. Do you have any advice for other students hoping to create their own success:
My biggest advice for anyone looking to be successful is to be yourself. This may be the most cliché answer, but it works. Figure out your strengths and weaknesses and use them to your advantage.

Biggest role models or inspirations:
Emily Cook, my boss at the University of North Georgia, has been a huge inspiration in my life. When working as a senior mentor for Supplemental Instruction, she helped me find my own strengths and weaknesses, enabling me to become a better.
I’ve ran a marathon!
I like to spend my free time at the gym or playing video games.
After Georgia Tech I hope to pursue a doctoral program for chemistry. After that, I may go into the industry or straight into teaching. Regardless, I want to eventually become a chemistry professor due to my own passion for the subject and to the ability to help others better understand it.
