FOR BEING AHEAD OF THE GAME:
Prajita Shrestha ‘22 excelled at college before starting her official first day of class. The international student from Kathmandu, Nepal, strategically used a gap year to become a published writer and added Spanish to her list of spoken languages (including: Nepali, English, and Hindi). She was also awarded a full-ride scholarship to attend the 11th World Congress on Adolescent Health in India, becoming one of the youngest delegates to attend the event. Also, as a way to assist her family financially, Shrestha woke up at 4am to start her job as a private tutor. From there, she completed Rochester’s Summer Start program and simultaneously adjusted to life in the United States and earned seven college credits – all before starting her official college journey.
