Catherine (Cat) Edmonds is a student, leader, and entrepreneur. A senior at the Mendoza College of Business, Edmonds works for Students Consulting for Nonprofit Organizations and is the CEO of the Mendoza Student Leadership Association (MSLA). As MSLA’s CEO, Cat gives her peers useful tools and hosts events to help prepare them for the real world, ranging from coding classes to personal finance sessions. Continuing the theme of helping others, Cat leaves campus to coach a girl’s high school soccer team.
In addition to everything else, Cat serves her community through "TOGETHER For the Long Run," a non-profit she created to celebrate the power of everyone’s abilities. Her non-profit hosts an annual track event in which disabled and able-bodied individuals can participate. Surrounding the track are events for all ages, including face painting and a glow walk. Each year, hundreds of individuals participate and thousands of dollars are raised for the Special Olympics. Cat continues to grow her non-profit by creating committees throughout local high schools – enabling high school students to use their strengths to make a big impact in their community.
