What inspired you to create Bridge?
It started out as a project for a hackathon two years ago. My team and I came up with the idea that addressed a problem that we all were going through. The competition was around recruiting season and our main inspiration was the lack of good feedback from recruiters. We wanted to create a platform where students could receive constructive feedback on how students can be better and improve their resume and skills for the next interview. The idea was well received by the judges, recruiters, and students at the competition. We saw the use of building this platform during this pandemic since our idea is better than the ones that already exist.
Who was your role model and/or inspiration?
I look up to my dad a lot instead, especially for being an entrepreneur and a risk taker. He quit his job to follow his dreams of starting his own business, and I find that very inspiring. He is someone who takes a lot of risks and loves to dream big, and I’m glad I was able to learn from him and adopt a similar mindset.
What is the best piece of advice have you received that has helped you be successful?
Don’t worry about fitting in, learn how to stand out. This is something my mom preached to me and my brother while we were growing up, and she truly embodies every part of it.
What were you like in high school?
I was very social and focused a lot on my extracurricular activities because that’s what really made me happy. I never really stressed about school, but I put in a lot of effort in the subjects that genuinely interested me, like physics or engineering. I really enjoyed learning in these classes and found that the content came naturally to me.
What motivates you?
Being able to make a difference in people’s lives, as it’s something I’ve always been passionate about. I don’t know how exactly I’m going to do that, but that’s the goal: to make people’s lives better.
How has your life and daily routines changed as a result of COVID-19?
If the pandemic hadn’t happened, Bridge would not have happened at all. I originally had plans to be traveling a lot this summer, but since all of that got cancelled, my boredom lead me to realize my continued interest in this idea. I reached out to my original hackathon team, along with some other people, and we’re very excited to launch this product soon.
What do you think are your strengths and weaknesses?
One of my strengths is having a very positive outlook, even when the situation isn’t favorable, which gives me the confidence to feel better in control. I find it easy to collaborate with others, and it doesn’t take long for me to produce results. I also consider myself to be very proactive. On the other hand, I find that my weakness would be that I sometimes rely and put too much pressure on myself instead of relying on the talents around me.
If you could know the absolute truth to one question, what would you ask?

In your opinion, who do you think is the most impressive person in the world right now, and why?
I admire Donald Glover for not only his talent in various areas of work, but also for his ability to establish dominance and success in each of these fields. He’s extremely impressive in being able to establish careers in his different talents; he’s a writer, musician, actor, comedian, and an activist. Although people are good at their respective interest, it can still be very hard for them to be successful. Knowing that people like Glover exist inspires me to one day pursue multiple passions professionally.
